Ledge, River 0 degree sleeping bag

When I began my search for the perfect sleeping bag I knew what I wanted. I needed a sturdy 0 degree bag of reasonable quality for a low price. Not as easy as it may sound, but not impossible. After doing a bit of research on sleeping bags I came across the Ledge brand.
Ledge Sports is a small company in Utah who specializes in low cost, high quality sleeping bags. Ledge originally produced their bags for wilderness youth and survival groups. These sleeping bags were field tested for many nights well before they were ever available to the public.
The River is available in 20 degree, 0 degree and -20 degree temperature ratings and is considered their mid level sleeping bag.
At first I was going to purchase the -20. I am a cold sleeper and have been disappointed in the past by cheap sleeping bag ratings.
I decided that the -20 degree was going to be too heavy and went with the 0 degree hoping I wouldn't run into freezing temps.
I purchased the River online for a $40 clearance price;  normally selling for around $60.
When the Ledge River arrived I immediately inspected the bag and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and detail of the sleeping bag.
The River has many features that $200 bags have such as; draft tube and collar, draw string around the entire mummy hood as well as the draft collar plus Velcro at the zipper. The two way zipper also zips from both inside and out.
The loft on this bag is ample and well baffled as well as a very heavy duty zipper. I felt much better about my purchase and was exited to use the bag.
The first night I used the sleeping bag the temperature went down to the mid 50's. Not a problem for this bag! In fact I had to unzip the bag half way because I was too warm.
On the second night of use it rained heavily and my tent leaked in one corner near my feet. I didn't realize this until later when I moved around a bit. The foot of the bag was wet and only a tiny bit of water seeped through however, my feet stayed warm.... a down filled bag couldn't have done any better. I would like to mention that the River also repelled tent condensation dampness as well.
Most of the temps over the next week were in the low 50's and one night it dropped to the low 40's and still the sleeping bag kept me toasty warm.
One morning the zipper got stuck on the draft tube. The fabric actually crossed over both sides of the zipper teeth. I fully expected the zipper to tear a hole in the fabric but after working at it for a few minutes the zipper came unstuck but the fabric did not tear at all. It holds up to my dog too who tried to crawl inside one rainy night when she was wet.
My research paid off and I found exactly what I was looking for; a sturdy, warm sleeping bag for a price I can afford.
